Out of the chaos comes coherence.

A home for the large, layered story that lives in a labyrinth of notes, half-drawn characters and threads left mid-sentence. Dystoria holds the whole tangle in one connected system and hands you the thread to walk it, until the story that was waiting at the heart of it comes into view.

What we believe: a lens, not a ghostwriter

Every writer has a voice, and finding it is the work. Dystoria will never smooth your prose toward some frictionless “good”, because the part of a voice worth keeping is exactly what looks like an error to a machine that only knows the average.

So its AI is a lens. Pointed at your own work, it reflects your patterns back to you, strengths and habits alike. It asks the questions behind your decisions and orders what you have scattered. It never composes a sentence of your story, it sits behind a ✦ you can switch off, and every structural tool works without it.

When you have carried the story as far as you can alone, it belongs with real readers and real editors, and your Record of Work shows them it is yours.

How it works: a loop, not a line

At the centre is one idea: every piece of your story is an element, whether it is a character, place, artifact, concept, event or stake. Make it once and it is the same everywhere, with its notes, its connections, its arcs and every place it appears.

Elements hold your goals, narrative layers, cast and world. Connections map every relationship and the groups they form. Places give you a board for every scene and maps of your world. The Plot grid sets sections against threads and arcs, with point of view, events and stakes, and Where next helps you plan a section step by step.

Phase 2 · Focused writingWrite

A spare full-screen room: choose what the session is about, and write.

Phase 3 · Edit & reviseRevise

Twelve lenses that read your prose back to you, and checks for continuity, unpaid setups and point of view. Nothing is rewritten for you.

Phase 4 · Perspective & feedbackReview
